ENTERTAINMENT THAT CULTIVATES THE MIND
CULTURE COLLECTIVE STUDIO opened its doors in 2015 as a professional English language, multicultural theatre in Bangkok, Thailand.
The two boutique-style black box performance spaces are designed to provide audiences with intimate and tantalizing theatre experiences.
The Studio focuses on three areas.
FIRST
is our production component. Our resident acting company defines itself as a professional, for-profit company that produces high quality theatre productions. We demonstrate our commitment to theatre arts by actively striving to discover our highest artistic selves. We hold the ideals of cultural diversity, enlightenment, spiritual and intellectual growth at a premium. The unique acting training we receive is the foundation of the product we present. Our monthly productions are clear displays of our teamwork, humanity, generosity of spirit, and our courage to question social boundaries. We share and support our insatiable passion for the pursuit of our dreams.
SECOND
is our education component, which operates under the name of ACT IT OUT! Here, high school Thai students participate in a weekly workshop for eight weeks where they learn life-long skills such as critical thinking, self-confidence and personal presentation. They also improve their English literacy skills as they are introduced to various aspects of theatre arts. This program makes use of a unique curriculum that culminates in a performance for a public audience.
THIRD
is our special events component. You can expect to enjoy an assortment of cultural activities beginning with cabarets, where we feature singers and songwriters. We also host film screenings, focusing on independent short films. Our “Latin Night” always begins with a Latin dance class that transforms into a dance party. The annual Juneteenth Celebration is a night of song, dance, spoken word where we commemorate the ending of slavery in the United States.
